Beyond the Stills:

Welcome to my video portfolio! I'm thrilled that you're here. Please feel free to explore the videos I've created, ranging from the past to the present. The videos are ordered by recency, with the latest work showcased at the top and older work available towards the bottom of the page. I'm passionate about the media landscape and the significance of high-quality media, and I'm always open to discussing it further. Moving forward, I'm eager to continue learning and expanding my video portfolio. Video production is a form of self-expression and communication that has become an integral part of my life. Along the way, I've gained valuable lessons in editing, shooting, and narrative structure. Above all, I've learned how to effectively communicate through video. While I'm still young and uncertain about pursuing it full-time, the art of video will always be my passion. I aspire to continue utilizing video production in my career, life, and artistic endeavors.

P.S. this is my favorite work to do.

Water Privatization - The Commodification of Water

This is my most recent project to date, and it holds a special place as one of my favorite videos. I invested weeks of research, writing, filming, and editing into this project, and it has been a tremendous learning experience. (All information in the video is fully cited to ensure accuracy and credibility).

08.

NOT CARS

Not Cars was my inaugural documentary project, but certainly not my final one. I took on the roles of producer, filmmaker, and editor for this project, which was created as part of CMPD 2400 at the University of Colorado Boulder.

07.

The Impact of The Eating Disorder Community on TikTok

From research to production, the creation of this video was a significant accomplishment that I fondly reflect on. It marked the first time I was able to communicate a story that was larger than myself. Despite the audio being corrupted in this video (headphones are not recommended), I am determined to continue creating work of this nature.

06.

Original.Co

Original.Co stands out as my most distinctive video project. It revolves around the theme of originality and the question of whether it can be "bought". It was a unique experience for me as I took on the responsibility of crafting a nonfiction plot to be produced. The production process for this video was a solo endeavor, from writing to filming, editing, and post-production. Despite the challenges, I am grateful for this opportunity as it allowed me to gain proficiency in every aspect of the production process.

05.

To Bond

This video is a short story montage that deliberately omits sound as a narrative element. It seeks to convey the poignant ache of falling in love with one's best friend, a situation that many can relate to.

04.

Locative Media

This video was made during the early stages of my creative journey, and my style has evolved significantly since then. Nonetheless, it's interesting to revisit my early work and see how far I've come. For this project, I was tasked with exploring space through sound in my first-ever Media Production class. I chose a place that held sentimental value to me, my childhood home, and drove there to capture the essence of the space.

03.

park

Park was a video I created with the sole purpose of calming my mind during a turbulent time. It was filmed on the day before the 2020 United States election, a time of uncertainty and tension in the air. I didn't have a specific agenda or goal in mind, I simply wanted to capture the day and create an experience that was pure and free from the complexities of time. It served as a form of therapeutic expression.

02.

Now Is Not Home

Now Is Not Home is a video that holds personal significance for me as it served as a form of catharsis during a pivotal time in my life. It was created when I had just graduated high school amidst a global pandemic and was beginning college, which was entirely online. During this time, I found myself questioning the choices I had made and grappling with uncertainties. Should I have waited to start school? Should I have left my family? Where is my home if everything is online? Should I have pursued other options? These questions and doubts inspired me to create this video..

Last Meal On Earth

Last Meal on Earth was a pivotal project in my video journey. I had the opportunity to collaborate with a group of talented and inspiring students at The School of The New York Times. With just two weeks to create a short film, I dove into the project with enthusiasm and curiosity, not knowing how much it would impact my life. This experience opened my eyes to the power of storytelling through video and ignited my passion for video production even further. It was a transformative experience that helped shape my approach to video creation and set me on a path of continued learning and growth in this field.
